In designing the altar, I focused primarily on the use of familiar symbols of veneration—candles, flowers, and a photograph of Luigi as a 'holy image' or icon. The three terms 'deny,' 'depose,' and 'delay,' which Luigi had etched onto the bullet casings, were also incorporated into the altar, hovering above it like a brief prayer or sacred verse, akin to a mantra.
In the foreground of the altar, we find an arrangement of weapons performing a kind of reverent dance or ritual in homage to Luigi.
